The Old Watermill Fish Camp began serving delicious pond-raised catfish to the public in the fall of 1973.  R. F. Lowry built the restaurant next to a watermill that has been the site of a rice mill, grist mill, sawmill, and cotton gin since the 1800s.  The actual water wheel itself was built by Mr. Lowry.  Although the wheel has ceased to function, we hope to rebuild it in the near future.

In June 2004, Mr. Lowry passed away leaving the operation of the restaurant in the hands of his daughter and son-in-law, Scott and Alice Haigler and their family.

We strive to keep the fish camp a family-oriented and

Christ-centered operation.
